How do I book an appointment?
All appointments can be made by calling the salon on 01283 567396
We also have an online booking system where you can make, check, and rearrange appointments. When booking online a small deposit will be taken to complete the booking by taking your card details. This deposit will be taken off your treatment/ service.
We work on an appointment basis and recommend you rebook your next visit before leaving the salon
Is there parking available?
Free parking is available outside the salon. The salon is in a residential area, please avoid parking across their driveways.
What credit/ debit cards do you accept?
In addition to cash we accept all major Credit & Debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Do you have to pay a deposit?
We require a 25% deposit for large appointments (2 hours or more). This is non-refundable along with additional fees if you cancel giving less than 48 hrs or do not show for your appointment. Please see our Salon Cancellation policy for fees.
What happens if I am late for an appointment, need to amend or reschedule a service?
Your appointments are especially important to us and it is reserved especially for you. We allow a short period of time for lateness dependent on the treatment type. Should you arrive late, we will do our best to keep your original appointment. However, we may have to shorten or change the service to ensure the stylist or therapist and other clients are not affected.
We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice for all service amendments, cancellations, and rescheduling to avoid being charged. Please see our Salon Cancellation policy for fee.
Why do I need a patch test? I have had it done before
Your health and wellbeing are a priority. A tiny proportion of people can have an allergic reaction to key ingredients in certain hair and beauty products. Allergies can build up unknowingly over time because our bodies naturally change for various reasons. This is despite having treatments on a regular basis or elsewhere.
Patch testing ensures we can safely provide you with your requested service without the risk of a reaction.
Why do I need to complete a client consultation?
We ask all our clients to complete a consultation form and ask for them to be completed honestly as some services and products may not be suitable for their individual circumstances.
Why do I need to attend a consultation before some services?
We think it important that you get to know us and have a chat about your requirements before your appointment.
An in-salon consultation allows us to answer any questions, book out the correct amount of time for your appointment and provide you with an accurate price for the service.
It also helps us to assess your needs and carry out any necessary testing to see if the results you want are achievable.
New clients who book services such as colouring and Microblading online will receive a welcome call from a member of the Chocolate team inviting you to your complimentary chat.
How far in advance do I have to book?
To secure your ideal appointment time, please be sure to book your appointment 4-6 weeks in advance. Evenings and weekend appointments are our most popular times, and we advise to book at least two appointments in advance to secure your preferred slot.
Dates and times can be changed up to 48 hours prior if needed.
Do you offer a Fringe Trim service?
Existing clients can take advantage of our complimentary fringe trim service. No need to book an appointment, just pop into the salon during our opening hours (subject to availability). This service is to reshape an existing fringe in between regular appointment. Unfortunately, we are unable to create a new fringe unless you have a Cut & Style Service, or a Wet/Dry Cut service.
Do you have a reward scheme?
You can collect treat points on our treat cards and once you have collected enough points they can be exchanged against certain services or products
Can you purchase Gift Vouchers and Products?
You can purchase products and gift vouchers at the salon, over the phone or visit our online shop.
Our vouchers are valid for 1 year and can be redeemed against any of our services or products. Gift Vouchers can not be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable. Please ensure that you bring your redeemable voucher with you to present on arrival.
We will happily exchange any products should they be faulty or have been unused, undamaged and in their original packaging.
